Riggs & Lombard materials include balance sheets, financial statements and inventories; Richmond Plant is represented by one folder, Standard Costs, 1950; and Royal Worsted Mills material includes tax returns, correspondence, sales orders and financial records. U.S. Bunting materials include organizational and administrative, executive, financial and labor records, including some related to the 1903 Lawrence Strike and employee cards, 1937-1939. Material from Walsh Mills includes executive correspondence, meeting minutes, labor notices, cost reports and employee cards. Lawrence Manufacturing Co. materials include charters and by-laws, tax records, correspondence, financial records, sales receipts and employee cards. The company's origin began with Gen. Benjamin F. Butler who founded U.S. Bunting Co. in Lowell, MA in 1865. After Butler's death in 1893, C. Brooks and George Stevens managed the company. In 1921 C.
